Transforming technical skills 

Skills assessment for Alfred McAlpine delivers Microsoft certification success, saving 37 classroom training days. As one of the largest Microsoft Certified Partners for Learning Solutions(CPLS) in the UK, and a market leader in the provision of technical training, QA-IQ was selected by Alfred McAlpine to design and deliver the training needed to increase their Microsoft technology skill set and for staff to achieve appropriate certification. By using skills assessment to gauge existing abilities and provide an accelerated track and self-study option, QA-IQ was able to provide an optimum amount of classroom-based training.

Reuters supports graduates with a QA-IQ academy

Reuters is continually seeking to improve its graduate training programme in order to attract and retain high quality graduates. QA-IQ provides a structured, 3-week training module to form part of the induction programme for Reuters’ business analysts. The programme is managed by QA-IQ and provides a well-defined curriculum that meets the needs of graduates with differing technical backgrounds and abilities who go on to take up a variety of roles within Reuters. 

Supporting business change management at Barclays

To support the adoption of the  PRINCE2™ and Programme Management (MSP) methodologies, a comprehensive training solution was provided by QA-IQ to develop the project management programme roll-out, and to ensure that up to 5,000 employees from departments across the business gained the skills needed.

Risk management skills for Nestlé

To maintain the quality and consistency of project management within its Research & Development function, Nestlé recognised a need for improved risk and opportunity management. They worked with QA-IQ to create a more rigorous and consistent approach to risk management while increasing knowledge and experience to allowing new procedures to be put into place. The practice of project management was improved, leading to an improvement and strengthening of innovation within the teams.  

Supporting leadership skills for Shaw Trust

A comprehensive leadership development programme for Shaw Trust comprised blended programmes that developed core skills in areas such as leadership, decision-making, influencing, project management, strategy, communication skills and change management.  With a second run of the programme already in place, the groups that have completed the programme to date have found it valuable, in particular the focus on practical skills, whilst the Trust’s MD and Strategic Management Team acknowledge the significant impact the programme has had on the organisation
