QA-IQ launches ITIL v3 bridging courses for Foundation and
Manager's Certificate: Quickly update your certification to
latest version
4 September, 2007
Service Management professionals can quickly and effectively
update their ITIL® qualifications with two newly launched
bridging courses from QA-IQ. Accredited by I.S.E.B. on behalf
of the APM Group* , these courses are amongst the first to
provide a quick route to the new ITIL v3 Diploma for holders of
earlier levels of ITIL® qualifications.
The courses provide an effective overview of the new topics in
ITIL version 3 and the main differences from earlier ITIL
Versions, giving those attending a strong understanding of the
enhancements to ITIL best practice brought about through the
version 3 refresh.
Head of the Service Management Practice at QA-IQ, Jeff Payne,
explains; "These courses are ideal for holders of ITIL
certification from earlier ITIL versions who want to quickly
gain a good overview of the new content of ITIL version 3, as
well as achieving the certification. At the Foundation level
this course will put attendees in a strong position to continue
their certification path in version 3. At the Manager's level
it gives candidates a fast track route to the new ITIL Version
3 Diploma.
"The common language of IT, as articulated in ITIL, is now
incorporated into the background education of almost everyone
who uses technology in the world today. ITIL Service Management
is fast becoming an essential certification in today's
workplace, and we've already seen significant interest in ITIL
v3. This is a wide-ranging change to ITIL best practice,
including new core volumes in the IT Infrastructure Library,
and it's important that all interested parties particularly
service managers are aware of the updates."
The main focus of the Bridging course will be the new content
of the IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL), which covers the five
core volumes that provide an end-to-end view of IT and its
integration with business strategy. Courses include lecture
sessions, exercises, assignment, discussions and practice
examinations and prepare the attendees to sit the examination
at the end of the course.
